Sara Paul is Senior Manager, Claims in Risk Management for Target Corporation and leads a 14 person Claims team. Sara joined Target in February of 2007. She is responsible for the long term strategic direction of the claims organization. She also serves as a member of Target's Crisis Management Working Group The tam administers claims management programs for Workers' Compensation, General & auto Liability and Property losses and manages related vendors. They also oversee insurance reporting and regulatory compliance, as well as serving as a corporate resource for claims management expertise to internal and external business partners. They consistently seek out ways to improve efficiency and outcomes, driving vendor partners to continually bring top level creative resources to the programs. The Claims team manages approximately 100,000 incidents and 45,000 claims for the organization annually. Prior to joining Target. Sara was a Vice President at Marsh USA Inc. At Marsh, she was a Client Executive responsible for all aspects of client management and service delivery as well as a Casualty Client Advisor responsible for designing. negotiating and placing Casualty coverage for large clients with a focus on risk retention. Responsibilities included program design, loss forecasting and evaluation, collateral assessments, loss portfolio transfers, drafting policy on insurance agreement wording and contract reviews. She has extensive experience in Environmental, International, Political Risk and Captive analysis and oversight. Sara also worked as a Claims and Insurance Manager for Land O' Lakes and as liability claims adjuster focused on coverage litigation, serious injuries and fatalities. This included reviewing insured's contracts and the ability of the policy to respond. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Cloud State University, where she majored in Finance and an MBA from Temple University with a focus in Risk Management and Insurance. She holds the Associates in Risk Management designation. |
