Wayne A. Simoneau

Wayne Simoneau served as Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Finance from 1996 to 1999, and as Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employee Relations from 1995 to 1996. Prior to that he was Deputy Commissioner for Labor Relations, Minnesota Department of Employee Relations. He was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1974 to 1995. In addition he served as Chief Deputy Auditor for Anoka County from 1989 to 1991.

Mr. Simoneau has extensive experience as a consultant in workers' compensation claims administration, employee benefits, and deferred compensation administration. His education includes Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs: Reflective Leadership (1981-1983), and Ethics and Public Policy (1983-1984). A graduate of Dunwoody Industrial Institute, he also has taken various courses at Hamline University, Anoka-Ramsey Community College, George Washington University, the University of Minnesota, and Wharton School.
